This year's Beighton Gala is to be held on Saturday the 18th of July 2009, on the Beighton Miners Welfare/Beighton Sports & Leisure Club field.

The aim of our gala is to provide a free fun day full of entertainment for all of the family,
while also providing different charitys the oppertunity to raise some money for many different worthy causes at no extra cost to them.

Classic Cars & Bikes...

We are looking for more classic cars and bikes to attend the gala, if you would be interested there is no charge and it is a lovely day out.
Please tell anyone you know who owns classics to come join in the fun!

On the day please arrive before 11.30 (no movement on the field till the gala ends).

Whats on at the 2009 Gala...

This year we are having witches, wizards and dragons from away with the faries and we will be having wrestlers, to help make the gala a fun one.
As well as this we have the parade as usual and all the dancers from local dance schools.
Tug a war will also be on again this year - local pubs and clubs pulling agaist each other.
There will be much much more including Poets, Games, Donkeys Etc.


Our team consists of only a few people and we rely totally upon donations.

So if you can donate any of your time to help us arrange and pull off this massive event, please contact the number above as we are always in need of new members with fresh ideas to help us create a great day for the local communities.
We would be appreciative of any assistance even if you can only spare a couple of hours at the end of the Gala to help us pack up as we are all very tired as the Gala takes over 3 days of work and months of planning!

This is not some quiet little funday though - we have in the past , had over 5,000 visitors!
